For rabattski
"But doesn't what you say come to this: that there is no pain, for example, without pain-behaviour? It comes to this: only of a living human being and what resembles (behaves like) a living human being can one say: it has sensations; it sees; is blind; hears; is deaf; is conscious or unconscious."

I think you have somewhat of a point.
I think a lot of it comes down to education aswell. It seems that many schools accept anyone, and give degrees/diplomas away, thus producing a load of half assed designers (myself included). Add that with the personal computer and you have an over populated pool.
But fear not Crayon, I am leaving the industry soon so there will be one less you have to worry about.

You can claim whatever you want to be, although you're not really that

There is a trend called prosumerism. People fixing their own cars, Homedepot. Now apple and its programs like garage band. Clipart.
It only going to continue. Companies are starting to recognize this trend because its turning into a multi billion dollar industry.

You're just another person in this world.

It shouldn't bother you. For every Mark Ryden there are 1000 people painting horrible pictures of their cats and hanging them in the local cafe.

is that wittgenstein 1 or wittgenstein 2 kuz?

specially the people who draw stuff in legal-rule paper, scans it, and starts selling shirts out of it for a 100 bucks.

I blame twist. Everyone does the same characters over and over again. Sure art has its periods where people take from each other, but every show I go to, I see the same elements all the time. Some foo foo saccarin character with "X's" for eyes floating on a drippy cloud. Give it a rest!

(May 6 05, 08:26)I think this statement is ironic considering your profile picture...
everyone has the right to create whatever they feel like creating.... regardless of inspiration or trends.

I don't think it matters how long have you been an artist..
You can be in it for over 50 years and still suck.
and you can be in it for a few weeks, and have great stuff..

good call on wittgenstein. kant had some great quotes on this subject ... but people call it boring. too bad it was 100 years ago and it still applies.
