Anyone know how to get the edges smooth when rotating a PNG in Flash?
Ive tried so many things and nothing works.
Thanks.

Actionscript and using better quality PNGS.

Tried placing the image inside a movie clip and setting the clip's alpha to 99%?

13, thanks. Seems like it is a bug.

have the same problem while scaling PNG's. next step is adding a transparent border of 5 pixels around the whole picture. this way the transparent part gets jagged and won't show. i hope.

(Apr 27 05, 08:29)r us serious though? try using a vector image and Flash will handle it better.
- Timson0
vburo, yours seems like the center of your movieClip is right in the middle of x-y axis. you should put it on x=0, y=0. no pixelshift then.

^ What Timson said.

woah, thx Timson!
silly rule tho!
wonder if flash will be less buggy now that Adobe is going to interfere..
- vburo0
jazx, cheers, but the vector version of that coin made the file waaaaaay too big..

Im so glad Adobe bought Macromedia.
Anyways it seems like this cant be fixed. I guess Ill have to do the animation in After Effects and import the video.

_quality = "BEST" should work!

grr.. no change! :(
here's the css for it:
----#flash_head {
background-color: #2D3075;
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px;
height: 72px;
width: 100%;
left: 0px;
top: 0px;
border-bottom-width: 2px;
border-bottom-style: solid;
border-bottom-color: #8681AD;
}
----
in the flash object/embed:
width=''100%'' height=''72'' id=''wxs_header'' align=''left''--------------
*sigh
