i just set jpeg compression (if there is any at all) to 100%.
where else can i control quality settings??
- version30
Use psds.
Import using quicktime
No jagged edges at all, rotated or not
- version30
or use masks on your imakes so the mask vector smoths and not the bitmap edge

any other options?

vburo, i wasn't talking about x-y axis in the CSS. i'm talking about the movieclip inside flash. think you got me wrong.

I was having this problem on a site I was doing and the solution in the end was like 2 people said before to set quality to "BEST", like so
_quality = "best";
in the beginning of your movie, doesn't matter too much where.
I think my problem was that Flash thought I was constantly moving the stage (I was scrolling _root with some AS) and therefore as normal quality doesn't smooth moving bitmaps it looked shit, but perhaps I'm wrong.

i cannot position it absolutely..as it moves relative to the stages size (browser resize) that's the whole reason i had to go with flash from the start..
- vburo0
i'll drop that line in the code.
thx hahakid!

_quality = "best";
doesnt work.
- version30
vburo he means absolutely to your movie in flash. make sure it is top, left aligned to 0, 0
- vburo0
doesn't work for me either.. :(

sorry vburo, that trick works only if exported as 6.0 or higher. exporting as 5.0 won't change a thing, wich i assume you did.

read versions posts in this thread.
he made this for me but doesn't show the problems you are describing
- vburo0
no i export as six and with AS2.
i am clueless..

vburo i just opened your swf in MX.
set your stopped object postition of the coin to a whole number and make it 185 pixels tall not 184, this fixed it for me

vburo, check this. same image, once as mc (the most right), two others non converted. exported as 5.0.
the moment i delete one of the non-converted there's pixelshifting all over the place. so it's most definately a bug in flash.

cheers, timson.
and cheers, tuan/v3.
the image is already behind a mask, hence the clean edges..
i am gonna try importing it via quicktime and make the size an odd number..

it seems fixed now.
but it's somewhat lighter and a lil blurry.. hmm..
- vburo0
made it somewhat darker now and turned smoothing off..
