A drunk one at that!

synchronisity is those times when say, you are reading a book and you come across a word you never saw before, and then suddenly it keeps cropping up all over the place. Or say, you stumble across an old friends number in your phone book, and then they phone you up out of the blue that day. things like that.
I believe that these moments of synchronisity are dotted throughout our lives like catseyes along the road. They mean we are upon the path. According to this theory it seems I have been struggling to maintain a straight line and seem to be swerving across both lanes.
I am however always happy to discover that I am back upon the road. Driving with your eyes closed sucks.

ok that stuff is freaky but it definately happens.
when i was in vietnam last month i was having beers with my brother by the hotel pool and suddenly this image pops into my head of when we were kids and we'd gone up north with my dad. we'd stopped off at this beach town in the middle of nowhere (middle of nowhere in west australian terms really is in the middle of thousands of miles of nothing) called kalbarri and i remember vividly that it was the first time i'd realised sand could be different from the sand in perth cos it was REALLY hot and quite coarse and a different colour. Anyway i hadn't thought of that memory for years, didn't even realise i still had it and i said to my brother "do you remember...?"
That night we called my dad and it turned out, unbeknownst to us, he'd driven through Kalbarri again for the first time in 10 years THAT VERY AFTERNOON and he was standing at the lookout point that looked over that very stretch of beach, and was thinking, "remember when i took the kids to that beach"
but i don't know if that is synchronicity or just plain freakiness.

"lol @ jevad 'recklessly drifting' through his 'void of life'.. a void which entails having a loving wife, pets, a nice house a nice car, a steady job, snowboarding at the weekends and by all accounts pretty much living a modern dream.
poor lad hahah ;)

(Apr 25 05, 06:53)"Sounds a bit cheeky doesn't it...not trying to take the piss...but none of that means shit if you're empty inside. To answer Kim's question, I fucking hate living over here.

nic sorry to hear that. and there i was taking the piss out of you last week with your NT presentation:
"I Know It Looks Like An Enviable Lifestyle With All That Snowboarding And WhatNot But I'd Honestly Rather Be In Kilburn"
- jevad0
hahahha!!
Kilburn might be pushing it, but yeah I think my wife and I are agreed that we would definately rather be beack living in the civilisation of Hampstead/London.
It's just too much out here...
Looking forward to my vacation out there in June!

Yeah, well whatever to this f*cking job.
Besides, my boss put me on 'Double-Secret Probation' and I don't have the use of the toilets here. Something about a foreign white substance that kept appearing on the bathroom walls after I was through in the stall.
Pftt!

i find that the identifiable instances of synchronicity increase when i'm on the right track. little mile markers.
as for the future... it keeps getting farther and farther away. xeno's paradox. i can't see it anymore.

i did two and a half years of on-screen branding, then two years and a half years of high-end corporate branding and now I'm in the second year of public sector/arts organisations. What is next I wonder? I just want a nice house with a garden and a car and enough change left over for a nice holiday now and then.
