whitebox example. i just build this box for a server at work.
amd64. 1gb ram, 2x40gb eide hdds (raid 1), 4x80gb sata hdds (raid 0) = ~$850.
why would i spend over a thousand on a mac (or dell/hp pc) when i can build a box faster than either?
:)

hahhaa, I think its so funny that PC users are always pointing fingers at mac people... blah, blah, blah, pretentious, blah, blah. Get over it and have another cup of coffee.
FYI, adobe isnt going to cut Mac support, but if it makes you feel better go on believing it...

I don't understand why a lot of PC users feel that mac people just to "look awesome" (as stated by a former post. I use a mac at home and a PC at work, and I gotta tell you, it is so much better on the mac. The whole window w/in another application window is probably the most annoying thing in the world, I am constantly pissed because I can't just move my windows around w/out having to stretch the application window.
Maybe I just don't know all of the PC tricks like I do on the mac . . . and maybe I like to look awesome!

get a blueberry imac from a few years ago, I would prefer a beige box to that eyesore. :P

No matter what happens, no matter what OS or what apps are to be available, there will allways be at least one OS and at least one digital imaging software brand to make all design work on a computer possible, webdesign will never die

you know what really keeps the Apple alive- all you foolish haters.
Keep your friends close but your enemies closer.
Just let it go- use your cheap PC's you built yourself with a spoon in the garage for $15.99 and the cost of the hammer...
If you rather a PC- then go for it-
shut up already- we get it-

My mac is a dual 450 MHZ machine I bought for $2000.00 FIVE YEARS ago. I use it everyday, it runs my business along side a 1GHZ Apple server, 2 G5's , and another 400MHZ machine. Plus two Dell's for web checking and dust collecting. I make a living off it, I pay my morgage, have a car, have nice things, and eat well. That $2000.00 investment help build my career to a point I can run a successful business from it.
Sure I could have gotten a $800.00 Dell at the time- but I doubt if I did I would be were I am at today. Why? Because the platform enviroment is non inspiring to me- if anything computing on a PC is complete frustration. Not one day goes by that I have to use Windows that doesn't end with me cursing, and I have been using it since 1995.
You do you- we do us...
next thread please.

I too heard that Adobe will stop producing Mac software, but I heard it from one of Adobe's developers.

If you need inspiration from an OS to be creative, I feel sorry for you.

I feel more creative when I'm using a Mac. Sometimes I don't know what that one mouse button will do next! Sometimes I like to dance around with my iPod and iBook like a complete fruit. Wooooo

Weird cause I asked that question at NAB to one of the adobe presenters, and they denied the posibillity of that happening soon.
The say the rummors started when they stop making that dvd app from adobe I think.
But adobe's apple market is still strong, in many areas and according to them it will get stronger with time.

I am inspired creatively by many things- the fluentness and effort of my OS happens to be one of them- the view out my window is another- it's all relative-
My whole point is in another way I dont need the latest and greatest to be creative- my five year old computer does it for me.
I have to look at this computer everyday- for sometimes 14 hour days, having it being inspiring instead of frustrating is a relief to me. I didn't marry my wife just because she was a girl and available, I married her because she is beautiful and I love her. I didn't buy generic shampoo because it was 10 cents cheaper- I bought the brand I know and trust. I don't eat at McDonalds because there is more of them than any restruant in the world- I eat at a little place on the corner that is friendly and cares about their product and the atmosphere reflects this.

If Adobe does stop making Mac software who will make all the Microsoft Ads?
