i use to smoke 20+ smokes a day, then i decided not to smoke indoors anymore, and i would have to go outside everytime.. it went from 20+ to 4+ a day within the first month, and now i just smoke when i drink..
ps. i tried all the shit like running, the gym and what not.. even boxing so i could beat the crap out of someone to let out the steam you build up everytime you force yourself not to smoke... didn't work ..

i take a class. at least once a week. i used to do 2, 3 times/wk when i started.
oh, and when i say yoga, i am not talking about let's meditate and sit for one hr kinda yoga.
i am talking about 2 hours of rigorous full body excersise. after the class, i am drenched in sweat, feeling so consumed that every single muscle of my body is strethed and worked out.
i sleep like a baby after that.

Oh man, I remember when I quit this one time, I was al edgy and grinding my teeth. And I was working in a restaurant, so there was no shortage of frustrating situations or cigarettes, which made it that much harder, but I got through, and you can get through. After about a week, your body won't craze the nicotine, but your mind will still craze the repetative habit of lighting up as a response to whatever made you smoke before. That's the danger zone- those activities that make you wanna smoke.
For me, McDonalds used to make me wanna smoke so bad, so I stopped eating McDonald's to cut down on one of my (what recovering drug addicts call) triggers. Try cutting out one or two of your triggers and see if that makes it any easier.
That- or get a girlfriend who says she'll dump you if you don't quit.

if i were to get a girlfriend that would dump me if i didn't quit, i pretty sure that would totally piss off my wife.
but thanks.
