What a jinx this thread was!!!
Made dinner on Monday night, woke up at 2am feeling like my stomach was going to explode, spent every 1 1/2 hours following until 11am making trips to the bathroom to puke and blow hideous waste matter out my sewerhole.
Oh the humanity!Couldn't even keep water down. Not sure if it was some kind of stomach virus I brought back with my from Cancun, or if it was from food I ate when I got back.
But I had to take two days off of work, lying miserabally around the house with no energy at all, no appetite, head spinning from looking at the TV for even 5 minutes.
Back at work today but I am dragging.........
Trying to eat an apple and get some work done. So, as to the moral of this thread, if you feel like hell, stay home, work is a horrible place to be sick like this.

Well mainly, to be honest.. my dad is very sick and if anyone at the office get's me sick, I can't go see him.
Not only that but i have client contact often, and they more than likely have kids to go home to. The last thing they want is my stupid ass bringing the flu to them.
If an employee is sick, they need to go home. I think we should do it asian stylee and even wear masks if we're sick. Its the polite thing to do!

you're right i did! talking on the interwebs can be hard sometimes, the communication isn't all the way clear :P
- shellie0
har. you asked how many!
- nLHb0
i think you took that question the wrong way shellie! I was just wondering that because you seem to not have had the experience of a boss being unimpressed with you if you went home sick, or co-workers getting bitchy because you went home and left them with work is all...
:)

nLHb, that doesnt at all include jobs before I really started working. I was a graphic designer at a print shop in Ohio, and worked retail at a few like every other girl in America.
I think i've had at least 15 jobs in my life. But right now it doesnt feel like I've had very many that count.

I don't think thats a fair question.
When i wasn't a contractor it went like this
1. A dot com
2. Sony Music
3. 65 MediaThis is where things get tricky. I started freelancing. It's hard to put them in order because I continue to go back and fourth between these:
4. DNA
5. Big Interactive
6. Organic SF
7. Deadline Avertising
8. Geffen Records/Interscope/UMGWith a bunch of different companies I freelance for as well, but it's not really worth naming them all. Let's say various LA entities.
At the current moment it's a toss up between staying a freelancer because there is such a high demand for extra hands, which allows for travel, taking a fulltime as a PM at deadline, or taking a fulltime somewhere that will remain nameless for the moment as a Sr. Designer.
I believe this year is the year I will find a place to hang my hat.
Is that weird? I thought most people on here are in a similar situation.

i don't know what's sexier, a lily tucked behind a girl's ear or half-digested chunks of macaroni tucked behind a girl's ear
