ok... i was wrong.
that was actually a pretty good movie, it was nice to see it pieced together more as a story.
tony alva is a nice guy too, he was just walking around hanging out with the crowd before the flick started... and even fuckin justin timberlake showed up for the event... i heard was in town, no one seemed to care.

We're cutting TV's for it. I liked it a lot.

i'm going to the premiere tonight... tony will be on hand too.
i have a really bad feeling about this one.

There are many kids skateboarding today who have no idea of the history of skateboarding, let alone what a surfboard looks like.

Going to check it and if the guys from back then get a few $$$ then thats a good thing. Might ge the story to a few people that wouldnt check the doc.

that looks so terrible.
i actually get some kind of sick pleasure when something i'm "really into" get's co-opted. because then i can adjust my self-identity accordingly and go on with my life.
it looks like Big Wednesday.

historically this type of film is tricky. i couldn't help but think of Gleaming the Cube when i first saw the trailor. just have to wait and see.
- tymeframe0
i'll have to watch it to. It's just like that.
Anyway, I saw Dog Town, after the doc, as more of a legacy than a product. But maybe it was already a product back then.
Buy Alva!

i think the dogtown boys probably got a nice fat check for this... good for them but too bad for the folks that have to watch it.
yes, i will have to watch it.

yeah, it's like how hollywood cashed in on the surfing...
they'll jump in on anything as long as they see the profit.
we've got to love the capitalism.
- mg330
Gleaming the Cube it is not...
That movie was nothing more than Hollywood cashing in on the skateboard craze at the time.
- rabattski0
hahaha "i hope it's not a 'cash in' attempt." who cares man. no seriously, who cares?
in this world of britney spearses, ashlee simpsons and what have you not i don't really mind if the dogtown cash in as well. what? because it's selling out? selling out of what? it's already sold out.
anyways i rather have them cash in than the mainstream crap cashing in. that means: we win!
i'm with jevad on this one btw.

That looks Shite.

It looks like Gleaming the Cube for 2005!

looks like stacy peralta got a writing credit on it so he's getting paid.
I will watch anything in the movie theater that has skateboarding in it. Even Police Academy 4...

Everything has to be remade, EVERYTHING. Some dogs are best left sleeping... or lying, whatever. now, I'll go see it like most everyone else, but I do a agree on the cheese factorness. MAN-remakes just make me bitter.

heath ledger = cheese
although he was somewhat attractive in '10 Things I Hate about You', which was a great movie.
- inspiration0
it's got heath ledger in it hasn't it?
bwahahhaahahahhaahaha
the documentary was great and i doubt they could squeeze as much detail and info into a film.

It's all about The Search for Animal Chinn.
