We're cutting TV's for it. I liked it a lot.

yeah, it's like how hollywood cashed in on the surfing...
they'll jump in on anything as long as they see the profit.
we've got to love the capitalism.

That looks Shite.

i think the dogtown boys probably got a nice fat check for this... good for them but too bad for the folks that have to watch it.
yes, i will have to watch it.

I will reserve judgement until after I have seen it

I'm with you on the cheese factor... they're premiering it here in Whistler during the WSSF... Tony Alva is going to be on hand so I might go just to get the chance to meet him.

I honestly think it's going to be pretty good. Skateboarding is probably my favorite thing ever and definatly the one thing I've done longest in life.
I get a somewhat Dazed & Confused vibe from it. Not sure why but it seems like it's going to be cool in kind of the same way.

I dont know.. the actors looks just like the crew... good job casting..
i even see jeff ho on the trailer

oh man "skateboard" the movie was just on cable the other day. 1977 leif garrett. i think tony alva did his stunts. funny but so painful to watch.

hahaha "i hope it's not a 'cash in' attempt." who cares man. no seriously, who cares?
in this world of britney spearses, ashlee simpsons and what have you not i don't really mind if the dogtown cash in as well. what? because it's selling out? selling out of what? it's already sold out.
anyways i rather have them cash in than the mainstream crap cashing in. that means: we win!
i'm with jevad on this one btw.

There are many kids skateboarding today who have no idea of the history of skateboarding, let alone what a surfboard looks like.

I understand maybe why they did it because its an interesting story. But if you put the documentary next to this one it makes this new one look like an after school special for 14 year olds.
I cant say more because I havent seen it, so I hope they dont kill it...

acescence are you serious!?!
I would love to see that movie again, I remember renting it in the Bones Brigade days, around the time of Future Primitive.
Wish it were on DVD.

it couldn't possibly be as bad, or as bad-good as trashin, but was greenday really neccessary?
- tymeframe0
i'll have to watch it to. It's just like that.
Anyway, I saw Dog Town, after the doc, as more of a legacy than a product. But maybe it was already a product back then.
Buy Alva!

it's the story of a down-on-his-luck gambler with a heart of gold! they form the "L.A. Wheels" and travel around in a short bus doing demos and contests to repay his gambling debts. classic.

looks like poo poo to me. I would eject this and poo poo and it and put it in an envolope and send it to the producers and tell them it's a bunch of poo poo and that the real Dog-Town peeps were the poo poo..
