I'm doing my 2002, 2003 and 2004 taxes this year... YEEEEE HAAAAAW gunna get properly raped.
Thank gawd I don't have many 1099's for my freelance stuff and I had fulltime jobs all three years. Own a house and I refi'd it last year which gives me some more deductions. I'll be happy if this years returns cover the two years before that.

kona,
I love Kenneth Cole suits, I pratically drool over some of the ones in the store.
Banana Republic has some great ones right now, I just went in and tried a few on. (Shhhh, I've got a friend who works there who can buy it with his 50% discount...)I used to work there and wish I still did, their clothing has gotten so much better. One of their designers worked with Burberry and they're now designing 100% of their clothing. (Whereas Gap and Old Navy probably still buy clothes from vendors. BR used to do that)
But anyhow at the moment I wear a 40R jacket and about 33R pants.

If you work and get a paycheck and that's it, use the links through the IRS website to do them for free over the web.

Being inc. doesn't mean you have to pay quarterly, as long as you pay. A freelancer should pay quarterly.
- mg330
Nope. I'm getting back close to $1K.

I'd have thought we'd have achieved perfection with the amount we invest in taxes, but it's the idiots at the top who squander or mismanage the pennies. Is it me, or are polititians good idealists but crap realists? Why don't they make a "Theme Park" version for running a country and get the new generation of kids working on building a better, brighter, smarter nation? I dunno, I work hard and get screwed like the rest of you. I'm just glad I don't run my own business.

nope. 3.5K in the black zone

As a freelancer, it's all fun and giggles until you make 100k.

I got a pretty good refund last year with the same numbers as this year, and now I owe! WTF?

I guess I'm officially an employee of the payroll company so it probably doesn't matter.
