photoshop cs icon

i strongly dislike the new photoshop icon/startup image that also sits in my dock. am i the only one who thinks it looks too similar to the indesign, and aftereffects icons? i miss the face, it was so easily discernible and distinguishable from all the other square shapes. blah. end of rant.

yeah I agree, the logos don't look as cool as they used to, but the feather effect looks kinda cool on the box.

i like them but you're right, they all look the same so i have to read the damn name everytime in the dock. nice but way to similar.

i don't have a problem telling between photoshop, imageready and indesign in my dock - although they are about 48x48px size on mine.
the illustrator one though does look a bit arse, but I don't have to put up with it as I use freehand ;P

I don't think it looks remotely like After Effects. I'm more disappointed by the MX and CS names. What's wrong with continuing numbers that give legacy to the great history of programs like Illustrator, Photoshop and Flash?

seriously. you said it, clone. it's a fucking icon, deal with it.
personally i like how all the adobe software has the white square and then some different element. it isnt that hard to distinguish between them all.

I've always been a fan of the Cyberduck FTP app icon.

personally i like the new icons. I think they were designed so that they're easily distinguishable from all the other icons sitting in your dock, especially if you group all your MX and CS icons together. I guess you just need to place them in a logical order like: illustrator, photoshop, indesign, golive // fireworks, flash, dreamweaver.
