Bump, but for OS X 10.10+ ?
What's your preferred editor for html / css / php / js / etc?

I like iA Writer.

honestly, I just use Dreamweaver CC. And I am basically using almost none of the app features except for some shortcuts and the code commenting tool.
I've looked at things like Espresso though...

Yeah, right now I use Dreamweaver, too, because:
a) I have it
b) I know the key shortcuts already
c) a bunch of my projects are organized in the Site Manager already, over the past decade, too lazy to reorganize. But, like you, I use almost zero of Dreamweaver's features. I use the Site Manager and Find/Replace (is that even considered a feature?) I don't even use the Preview, ever, because it's so terrible. Anyway, lately it's been kind of buggy, so I'm thinking of uninstalling it.
- Haha yeah, I don't even use Site Manager or Preview. I just code it out in CSS/HTML 90% of time and preview in browser. And really because of "A", I have it.prophetone

- Nice! It's a gem prophetone from a great company https://panic.com/.ideaist
- yeah I use Transmit all the time, love it, and have been a fan of Panic for quite some time. I vaguely recall getting Coda cheap as a Transmit upgrade deal...prophetone
- Just never integrated into my workflow. I think I just might! We'll see how it goes.prophetone
- I did this with Sublime Text - tried buying it a while back with the same email and was astonished to see I'd already bought the fucker.
-1 drunken stonerdetritus - Haha, I know. I bought it prob thinking "I'm totally going to use this!"... that was 4 years ago, lolprophetone

Dreamweaver is shit.
I've used almost everything at this point. WebStorm and Atom are my top two. I like WebStorm slightly better, but it's $130 a year, and Atom is free.
So, I use atom for all web stuff (and some non-web), and it works great.

Sublime Text 2
Espresso ( use it for CSS only)

I'm giving lighttable a try, bit weird at the start, but it has potential and some killer features.

Update: started using Brackets. Definitely won't be going to back Dreamweaver.
For writing notes/copy, I still use TextEdit, it's fine, other than having to set up better margins at the beginning of each file.
- Sublime is better imodbloc
- I'll probably try Sublime in the near future, too. Next project, maybe.********
- Make a template with the margins you like and just open that each time you need a new file.monospaced
