I can't wait until the media shuts the hell up about this already. You'd think they were covering a nuclear war with the amount of airtime they've given it.

i thought that no hockey was going to suck, but im glad its no longer here, forcing me to binge drink every saturday night...
im way less fatter now, and i can thank the bastard owners, and selfish players for that. Not to mention my slap shot is way better too.

I can't see a chance of recovery. Ever. With hockey being the lowest watched sport in the US, you're not going to have that many people willing to give them a chance next season - if there is one.
Just think of all the contracts with stadiums, vendors, etc. that are going unpaid, the people who are making NO MONEY and will probably go bankrupt.

Not really Jevad. People here don't care for it cause it doesn't translate well via TV.
In person it rocks. Used to go to the Hawks games all the time.
Now I hit up the Wolves.

weird, two years ago i was on a flight from vancouver to toronto and i was sitting beside a marketing director from the nhl, this would have been in early 2003 and he predicted then that they would strike in 2004 and wouldnt play again till 2006.
i think his judgement seems correct, these two sides are so far apart its crazy.
AT LEAST we will get to see CANADA kick some serious ass this april at the world cup. Lemieux says he will play, BOOYAH!
