if you are not happy with them, be effin mature and decide for yourself and don't go spit it out on a messageboard, i think most of us (are supposed to be mature enough) to decide for themselves what host they appreciate more.

my experience with mt™ has been brief thus far as i am currently in the process of switching servers over to mt™, but i must say their control panel is by far the best i have ever used.

The main reason I am with (mt) is the alternate domains. Only a few host allow for this feature, and it is really great.

i personally like (mt) a lot. i've never hada problem with them as far as anything i have requested, my site is always up, and it seems like the deal just keeps getting sweeter.

I'll be honest I used to think very poorly of places like Media Temple and 2A.net simply based on price alone. I as well thought the companies just had a bunch of hype behind them. I did some research and found that the current company I blow thousands a year on (Hostway) seemed to be in control on the market after buying out the largest hosting firm in Canada thereby becoming the largest hosting firm in North America. This is why I could not fathom why any other start up company would wittingly charge more when I would think the market would force these costs down. But I must admit, our CEO friend here almost has me sold - then again, that's what a CEO and salesperson is "supposed" to do. At one point I tried to see if they would match what I am paying now and give me the flexibility to develop Flash Com apps without having to take all the server responsibility under our own belt. Nope. I guess it all comes down to who you are comfortable working with and who offers the best support and deals. Make me a better offer and you bet I'd move to a MT or 2A.NET deal.

You can get hosting from any cheap server from around the world...
...You can buy a BMW too, but with no customer service behind it, you'll probably settle for a plain Toyota.
...(mt) is good hosting and strong customer service.

I got one client on Hostway, and had quite some problems with them, they once changed servers and during the migration files got damaged (??) still wonder how that was possible.. then things would still not work for my client including email and Hostway at one point lost interest at helping them and told them/me they ran out of clues, while in hindsight the issue is really on their side. But the thing is with these major corporations is they tend to lose flexibil;ity as they grow, they cannot just change things in the system etc.
so it's not just pricing i am looking for.. service is the most important quality for me.

Thats where I am at Vorm... and now I am looking for the best means of building. But since I am a proven commodity that is willing to shell out the bucks, everyone and their mother will be sure to preach their selling tactics to me. I am not saying any of these other companys are bad per say... just commenting that the things the orginal poster stated had weighed on my mind. I however have never had issues like you have had with Hostway. And I have brought over 5 or 6 big name clients over to them. Then again... everyone has their own experiences regardless of place of business.
