Media Temple is over rated .. IMHO.
besides the trend that to be in the "in" group.. . MTis over priced, less services and no reseller packages .. (well a reseller package that cost a pretty penny.)
Lots of other hosting companies out there that will bend over backwards for the "local" business owner.
what's your thoughts?

i fully DO NOT agree with you. they are so on point its not even funny.
they are slightly more expensive, but offer insane support, and user control.
you get what you pay for.

Our (as) Appliance-Server, a virtual dedicated server, is a system that allows you to resell hundreds of sites, rebrand the control panels your customers use, tightly control the resources allocated to each of the sites hosted on your account, it has a feature-rich reporting system that allows you to track bandwidth, disk space, and email usage, and it has unlimited control over the applications and configurations of every application on the server. As a server owner, we do not regulate your business activity and you are allowed to charge ANY price you wish for the hosted domains on your server. We are NOT taking ANY of your revenue unlike most providers. Furthermore, these accounts are hosted on the industry's most highly regarding Proliant web hosting hardware (not white-box PCs) in redundant configurations (a cost not past along to you). We _were_ in the ranks one of your customers; this ended when we found a much easier service that allowed us to stock our own hard drives, web services and gave us an open door welcome. ( be aware that they gave us the same offer which you claim above.)I’m not interested in greater credibility nor status. Service, reliability and expandability create credibility in my book. As a principle as yourself we offer services that facilitate others to empower their businesses. Unlike your service of web servers; we must maintain consultation far beyond a service contacts. This brings me to my point. Media Temple has worked hard to create this buzz in this nitch market. You should think about the direction in which your tech support is handling request in which B2B has weight in which company to recommend. I’ve been though your tech support. Days upon days of waiting for answers; Communications have brought us down to not using your company. So we found a company who was willing to take our calls. This is not a reflection of (mt) but a situation. It is wise for you to answer this post. Keep the damage at a minimum. We have outgrown your service. ive just never had a problem with them, and i have had like 25 tech support requests.
hands down, i still believe they are the best hosting company out there. i reccomend all my clients to host with (mt).

thats what the issue was for me...otherwise I would have gotten an AS server and got it for 50% off during january
