shuffling through the cockroaches and red ants, 100°F in the middle of an august night, sucking down a freezing cold beer produced in a condemned factory, listening to one of the greats in a dive that taxi drivers won't take you to and where the performers stop around three to feed the whole crowd red beans and rice before carrying on until dawn.

I've not been to New Orleans, but i've played all over California into Arizona and Las Vegas.

Saw some greats in this little bar/restaurant in LA near Hollywood BLvd, John Pattiuci on bass playig latin and then Dave Weckl on another night NOT playing like a crazy mechanical twat, but really nice and understated.
