Editor and Publisher Magazine is not a partisan publication either. It is a trade paper devoted to newspaper and magazine publishing. This gannon guy would get called on to ask questions all the time, passing up seasoned reporters.

For their part, Talon News removed Gannon's bio from their website at the beginning of this controversy, nearly two weeks ago. Here's the cached bio. While blog investigators at Daily Kos claim that the image in question depicts Gannon, this has yet to be confirmed.

it's not really important if you read talon news or not. these reporters ask questions or the president and scott mclellan and these press conferences are broadcast all over the place, including c-span. It gets written in historical records and so on.
Also, it isn't really old news.
