i dont want to register to look at the shirts...

mattyd...dont think you need...but I thought so too at first.a bit confusing navigation.
hmm..I was about to ad something simular to humidus...but to be very selectiv in what gets displayed or not...to keep the quality up. and of course it will not look like threadless.

Your wish is my command....!
The site no longer requires a login to look at the designs, only to comment or vote!
Keep the crits rolling...!
- tshrt0
We've got reasonably open criteria for submissions, and are hoping that the tshrt community will shred the bad designs (or rather, *ahem*, give constructive criticism...) and only leave the good.
Of course, we have final say on what gets chosen, and considering I'll be wearing this stuff in public, if it really is crap, we'll make sure it's pulled way before it gets to the printers.

For skt's comment about us being similar to threadless... Yes we are, it's the nature of the site.
The idea behind it has been toyed around with for about 5 years, way back when I was a student... After sitting down this year and finally having the time to start it up as a real company, we went thru a million different ideas about how to run it, whether it acts as an auction site, or pre-order... Whether to keep it private to UK designers, or open to all... It came down to the format you see now.
Threadless have been going now for 4 years, and have got it right... They haven't always been as slick thou, and like any good idea, it's taken development.
We hope you'll give us the chance to do the same.

wat is the quality and cut of the ts like? is it better than fruit of the loom shyte?
- iDp0
It just seems a little too 'borrowed' from threadless. Remeber you are dealing with designers who know and more importantly bitch about shit like this.
Last thing you want to do is start something that works like threadless and also LOOKS like threadless. I understand building off of their business model but give the people a little more then that...get some good ideas of your own to get people talking about it...basically do you want people to say 'yeah go to this site its like threadless'...or do you want people to say..'man you gotta see these shirts, the site is cool', THEN the next guy says 'Like threadless?' and first guy says 'Yeah kinda but they have this ____ (insert what makes you better here)'.
Know what I mean?

i like your voting flash system better than threadless
good job on that
hope it takes off for ya
- nRIK0
yeah i agree with iDp.
but also, who knows, these guys may be catering for a different audience than threadless, and maybe [hopefully] produce better stuff
however, if i find the same shit there, whats the point.
oh and like agentfour, i too would like to know what tees these guys are using
- iDp0
haha one thing thats kinda funny is it looks like they used the same t-shirt template that Xrtions used for his giraffe shirt...I must admit that I traced and ripped it too though. But I think that was his original. I never used it for commercial use though so please don't shoot!

BANG!!
your dead...
- iDp0
ow fucker! is that piss in your water gun asshole?
- rabattski0
agree with rasko though. shirt competition is healthy in this case. as opposed to a tl monopoly. that's good.
- iDp0
yeah for sure I totally agree. especially if they come with a nicer shirt! ;)
One more comment on the site though...I was just on there and I commented on the 'Bull Shit' shirt...which is kinda gay btw. But anyways it looks like someone affiliated with the site posted a comment on the design of the shirt...shouldn't do that...stay out of the commenting..its important to let visitors handle that part. More professional that way.

i welcome it too, specially because it's in Uk.. that cuts alot of the shipping cost for the europeans who are shopping over at the Us base TL

Thanks for all your comments on the site guys (and girls)...
We're taking them all on board, and are gonna be working hard to make the site better. Everyone here is a little sleep deprivated from getting it online for launch, and hands have been slapped for commenting on the tees.
We're printing on Continental Clothing Tees, that have a really nice cut and are of higher quality that Fruit of the loom tees. There are also no cut labels, instead, we're having a tshrt.com label stitched in.
They're pretty nice fit (from the samples we've had so far) and should last a while. The printer we use are also great quality and should be pretty hard wearing.
All in all it's been a tough start (that we kinda expected...) and being compared to threadless is something that's gonna happen no matter what we do (not helped by the idiot moderator who loaded some stuff off threadless to test the system and then FORGOT TO REMOVE IT BEFORE LAUNCH... oh well... mistakes happen.), however we'd rather see it as the UK competition than just another threadless. We're not here to compete (not that we presume we'd be able to) just to see some nice new designs made and printed!
Once again thanks to those with the constructive criticism.
- tshrt0
Oh... By the way, does anyone know what's happened to threadless.com? All of the skinnycorp sites have gone down, including the makers sites, Jake and Jacob...
- jimmiejo0
your site's down too. why's everyone down? am i not cool cause im not down with it?

you might wanna consider removing the voting thingy from the thumbnails and only have it when you see the hole shirt!
otherwise i think there is gonna be alot of random voting of the shirts..
just my 2 cents
