Can anyone give me some reccommendations for a digital camera? I have 1 day to buy a camera so i dont have long to browse the shops. Some friends of mine have this http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/…
which i really liked. I thought they made a version which was 3.2 but not sure. Looking for something which takes a good resolution and also the ability to take nice night shots with longer exposures.
anyways any help would be great.

what sort of budget are you looking at?

well assuming you like the small pocket type cameras (based on the one you linked) you may want to check out this one...
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewPr…i got that one it is really durable, small, and takes some nice pictures...it is completely auto though so it doesn't reall offer the long-exposures you may be looking for.
for more "manual" sutff like long exposure and such check http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewPr…
i Think (not possitive if this is the exact camera) that my brother has. pretty dope and can take like 15 sec. exposures.

Sony DSC-V1, i have it and I love it, is 5MP, 4x Optical and goes from fully automatic to fully manual mode. If you can afford the new DSC-V3 though, go with that, 7.2 MP is AWESOME. The more megapixels the better.

if you can find one in a day, try to find a used Canon D10... since their newer model came out, you can find one next to new for under $800 with a lens... you can't beat it for a digital SLR right now..
if you want a small point and shoot, get an elph.. those things are great and still give you a lot of manual controls... not to mention they're easy to carry around
