We are using Scene7. Much of the product catalogue is still be served from TrueSpectra and is in the process of being converted. TrueSpectra was aquired by Scene7 a year or so ago.
An iteresting thing about the zoom...we've found that some of the higher priced items do well, while most apparel remains flat in conversion. Not to mention production time goes up considerably when dealing with such large product images. I would be interested to know how well the zoom works for you, in terms of sales increase?

"That, or that crap suburban middle america Abercrombie knock-off Hollister."
yes - and I fear that is what the 'marketing manager' or dept or whatever wanted...teh fools...FOOLS....

Man it's sick, I never get why kids eat up clothing with logos and names emblazoned all over, and it's CHEAP CRAP clothing!
- mg330
Why aren't the bottom links centered? Just throws everything off.

looks a bit OldNavy.com to me. I mean, what's pac suns' purpose?
skate/surf fashion? who shops there actually skates or surfs?
- jevad0
"who shops there actually skates or surfs?"
probably about 1 out of every 10 visitors.
- mg330
I think you can testify to this jevad - you can't surf in Colorado!
Did you ever get any sleep?
- tymeframe0
I'd think a lot less than that.
Oh crap, my skate shoes are almost out of season!
- mg330
You've got second from the left?
I'll sadly never find another pair of the best skateshoes (stylewise, I've only skated in them once) of the past two years, the brown leather Adio Kenny Andersons. Lovely shoes, I take such good care of them.

the old one was much better as far as style.. and it wasnt that good.
This one seems like their corporate site.
And what the hell are you trying accomplish by spouting off those facts? Nobody cares... maybe just say..
"we launched a new site, check it out"
instead of sounding like an overpompus prick who spouts off stuff that nobody cares about.

soccer moms are who buy from pacsun... not core skaters.
like i said above... from the point of a skate brand and a distributor they are a necessary evil. trust me... all of us would rather deal with the core shops only and tell people like pacsun to fuck it but thats not gonna happen.
we only sell people like pacsun certain shoes... we don't open our entire inventory to them... as you can see only 4 pairs of our shoes are sold their while we have about 21 pairs of shoes in our current lineup.
as much as i hate em, they help me keep my job.
- Donvitoviti0
and why the hell are you posting the budget? are you trying to prove something?
that is pretty disrespectfull in my book, and just builds on an over inflated head
- Donvitoviti0
1 more post because looking at the site more just pissed me off.
It looks like GAP. Seriously. It slike you took a GAP like site and color and put a pacsun logo on it. Maybe with all your research you might want to take a step back and actually see that you might want to make it look like its from pac sun?!?!

hahahaha... DonV is on a tear!

Those of you who are being very critical, don't judge the sites design until you have read the demographic information and test results. People love to judge design on their own lilttle scale, but in business, design is about achieving objectives.
This site is probably just a component of their integrated marketing campaign, and us, not knowing its role, can't fairly judge it.
All of our talk means nothing, results mean everything. We will see how the site effects sales.

well this is practically the exact same thing to pacsun but up here in Canada...
i think they do a much better job of hitting their target market... and you know what, they make money hand over fist.
- quamb0
aint that bad. whats the ruckus for?
tho - this research crap - sounds like a bunch of wasted money by some corporate fat cats.

To defend alot of those clothes, most of them are of high quality... It depends upon which brand you are looking at. I have independent jeans that are industructable, yet I have split jeans that would get shreded in a second. Also if you look at hoodies, say from droors or burton they have a lot of tech features and stylish design. Also stores like that don't carry the higher ends of lines, A because a company won't sell them to a box store, B it's not really suited for their targets demo.

I understand that the usability and research prob did help alot... but my points where addressing that the actually design looks like a flipping AE/GAP site.
I do like how the navigation is etc...and the journy.. but it is just way to boring, and doesnt even fit Pac Suns image.
And the other thing I was just a bit ticked at was MR. spout his mouth off with stuff like he just came out of high school.
10 bucks says he is a jr and just wanted to brag for his company and needs to grow up a bit
