we could go around in circles debating the differences btw men and women when it comes to cheating... or whether there are differences at all.
my 2 cents: i'm in favor of doing whatever you can to help keep the marriage in good shape. they're married -- you can't change that now. so they may as well have a happy one.

i've never cheated on anyone - but my god i have been tempted. the reason i didn't was because i was happy in my relationship.
i believe people who are happy and feel respected, trusted and loved don't cheat.
perhaps he didn't take their relationship as seriously when they were dating. marriage obviously means something more b/c of his confession.
no one here has been in their particular situation and no one can say what this man will do.
there is nothing to talk about until he does actually cheat on her as her husband.
punishing him for being honest is illogical.

I'm terrible, I mean it. I cheat so much, it's problematic.

Nice try. But no. Not married. I was just curious what people think. And people who don't know the people involved are more likely to give honest, unbiased responses. Personally I think he won't cheat again. He seems to be trying so hard to make her happy again. At least I hope that's why he's doing it.
