theory or no theory. either way it's better to be safe than sorry.

absolutely abizzyman. in fact they have found evidence to prove in the geologic rock record that there have been higher levels of both C02 and temperature levels. environmentalist agenda based mumbo-jumbo imo.

"That's why I laugh at those who scream out 'Global Warming'"
'I shit in my own backyard for the fuck of it'.
always nice to hear someone that doesn't give a fuck about those who will come after him.

unfit... I recycle.. I pick up trash... I even have volunteered for community projects like this...
... my point was that the earth isn't going to be destroyed by man. How arrogant to think that we can ruin something that's been around millions of years longer than us.
- JazX0
we could destroy civiliz(s)ation as we know it though. I care about people, but ultimately even though we are part of Nature. We go the way of the Dodo Bird.

mrdobs, i dont think anyone was offended by the vidoes, more the contecxt in which they were presented. mother nature and man, a dance etc.
- rabattski0
because humans are way more effective , efficient and faster in destroying than earth. look what we have done in such a short period of time compared to the age of this planet? i think we're very capable of fucking things up.
- JazX0
we're surely badboys
- toe_knee0
man is capable of distroying this earth. Only too capable

I guess a few strategic nuclear detonations at the poles, could shift some stuff around enough to detoriate many lifeforms.

point taken rabattski... and I agree that mankind's pretty disgusting in their treatment of the earth.
I also recall elementary school classes back in NH where my hippy teachers used to tell us all this scientific data about how our entire state (NH) was covered in ice at one time... and yet it's completely habitable now (except a small town called Laconia which should be burnt to the ground)...
... my point is... the earth changes - no more dinasuars - N. America isn't under ice anymore...
... there's so much more to the earth and universe than we can even begin to fathom.
unfit's right though... we should look out for those who come after us.

Depends on what you mean. The Earth changes, yes, in terms of how lifeforms evolve, etc. However, both the physical and chemical process stay the same, hence the 'Theory of Uniformitarianism'. Which is widely accepted in those circles. http://www.physicalgeography.net…

man and monkeys are the only creatures that kill for the hell of it. we are distructive by nature.
- rabattski0
oh defenitely is the earth changing, adapting, reacting to events. although it's very slow it's quite consistent and it's impact permanent.
what i'm trying to say is that you can classify the global warming effect as a reoccuring effect of nature (i'm aware of the findings) and do nothing about it or you can accept it as a sign that we should change if we want to enjoy this planet as our home.
again, it's better to be safe than sorry in the aftermath. rather an issue of "dang! i could have bought that SUV" instead of "fuck there is no planet to drive my SUV anymore".

toe_knee: we are monkeys. our problem is that we think we're smarter than monkies. smarter than all animals.
- rabattski0
and monkeys spell better than me.
- toe_knee0
im smarter than a monkey you fucker.
