a few high profile cases here, where non-smokers have died from lung-cancer (second hand smoke)
im glad its banned now, good-ridence, means I wont have any excuses to smoke when i drink

thats sad. I think though that a carpet ban is severe. Smokes pay enough tax, tax means services, smokers deserve designated smoking areas, and if not, ban the sale of tobaco all together. You cant punish smokers for a habbit that is legal

It's funny how you used to be able to smoke on a plane...sometimes I sit there and think about what it would feel like to just light up infront of all those people.
Question, why do planes still have ashtrays in the arm of the plane?

fate if you are so concerned about disease you should look into the effects of alcohol and stop being such a hypocrite. More drunk drivers kill innocent lives than any second hand smoker. Choose your battles.

some charter flights still alow smoking. I flew from ireland to spain last year and you were aloud smoke, i was aloud smoke in customs, in arrival, in the taxi and even in the bank whilst talking to the teller.

i think eventually smoking tabacco will be considered a rather silly choice, compared to smoking weed and the likes
even tho weed has just as much (if not more) tar ? ...but minus all the added chemicals

cola, I agree that alcohol is far more dangerous than cigarette smoke, but that doesn't mean one problem should be ignored for another.

I hope I can finally go through with quitting smoking, this is my fifth try. I really do love it and hate it at the same time. I find much peace in stepping outside and having a nice nicotine rush wash over me, but then I hate being adicted.
I always feel so much better when I quit for a couple weeks, but then temptation and justifications get the best of me...I really hope I can follow through with it this time.
