I'm new at this. (not really, but it sounds less lame)

I'm hoping to make a DVD of footage I have on the camcorder. I have a Canon GL-1.

Using Premiere 6.5, what are the video dimensions? I suspect it's 720x480.

For Time Display, should I use "30 fps Drop-Frame Timecode" or "30 fps NonDrop-Frame Timecode"

I'm dropping almost half my frames. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening?

What Pixel aspect ratio should I use. I have square pixels selected now.

What compression, if any, should I use. Right now it's at Animation compression. I suspect I should use none.

i have a GL-1 and use premiere (7, not 6.5, though). capture using windows movie maker or premiere's capture utility, either is fine. capture as a DV-compressed AVI.
as for editing, you want to use NTSC, 720x480, 29.97fps (aka 30 fps drop frame i guess).
use TPMGEnc and TMPG DVD Author to make the dvd. check out www.videohelp.com for tutorials aplenty.
    hope that helps!

Thanks very much. That helps. I don't think avi is much of an option on the Mac. That format is Hell.

I will be using DVD Studio Pro to burn the DVD.
