eh, i didnt want to get into this, but its 10:47 on a Saturday and im sitting at home because I can't drive and well shit.
I use both PC and Mac. I will admit that after being a diehard Mac user the past 2.5 years and just getting back into the PC, the PC isn't horrible. But in my opinion, its still lags in comparison to the Mac. My Mac is much more efficient and stable at handling multitasking and processing large files. Expose is a dream when you have 20+ files open in Photoshop or whatever, and the fact that you can zoom out on one program or all windows is just the best damn idea for a computer in the past 5 years. YES, you can emulate that on the PC, but its not stable, and its not MS. I also prefer the Finder to Windows Explorer, I just think the layout is easier to navigate, and OSX search is much more efficient than the Windows Rover Doggy. God that is just lame.
iChat is definitely the best way to use Instant Messanger; it is the cleanest looking messaging application available, and hardly ever gives me trouble. I prefer Mail/Address Book/Calendar to Offices's Outlook, and its only more of a plus that they are included with OSX.
I definitely think Apple gives you more out of the box then Windows does.
But there is one big problem with OSX. Networking. Yes, it is extremely easy to set up, but holy shit what a mess it makes. It puts .DS Store files EVERYWHERE. and its definitely a slower transfer rate on a Mac than it is on a PC.
So there you go, when it all comes down to it they are about the same.
Ill stick to Mac, but I definitely wont say its perfect.

i have both as well... and nothing touches my PC ... i use my mac as a maxi pad.

lol, i was honestly just fucking around. vera, didn't mean to insult you at all.. just referencing a couple other threads with my comments on $200 jeans and materialism.
i grew up PC and only got my powerbook 6 months ago, which is when i made the switch (gave my 3yr old PC to my mother).. and it would be really hard to go back to PC... at work we're on G5s.. and although i don't know ALL the tricks and shortcuts yet.. i love OSX and i love working on macs.
but thats just me, PC's are still a-okay.

that might be because mac's 'style' stretches beyond the good looking product design. the os is a lot sleeker, and for some its much nicer to use.
its like if i fixed clogged toilets for a living, and all i used was a plunger all day. i know i'd spring for the nicer plunger, the sleek titanium retractable one - even if it takes me the same time to unclog toilets than with a $10 wooden thing.

i actually totally loved my 1.4ghz p4.... it was dope - and did me really well. i miss mirc and flashfxp on it for sure.. and i learned how to design on that thing, many fond memories.
and when i first got a mac i got a g4 ibook (1ghz) and i don't think it was faster than my pc.. but i totally fell in love with OSX.. and macs in general.. so then i upgraded my shit to a brand new ti powerbook and i love this thing more than is good for me. :) cant wait until i can spend my money on a 20" display to match!
