I'm looking for more ideas. The ones in this thread are good...I'm just bumping it to see if anyone else had any. Need to redecorate my room and get rid of lots of the stuff on my walls.

i did some for a show using aircraft grade plywood on the back (basically super thin, yet either stiff or flexible ply) and plexi on the front. home depot had these mirror hangers that are basically a spring loaded lip that you screw into the wall and then let the lips snap around the sandwich (wood/poster/plexi) and give a super clean look.

these guys have done some interesting things hanging artwork. can't imagine it's either accessible or affordable, though.

I bought a bunch of poster hangers yesterday. Basically they are just really thin frames with plastic film to sandwich the artwork in between. Seems good enough to me. I do plan on buying something similar to the aluminum poster hangers mentioned previously in this thread, but I'll wait until its more affordable or when it's offered in Canada.

I have done a few like this
5mm think foamboard in poster size or bigger.
glue some small metal pieces on the back of it in the corners.
then glue some extra 5mm foam to move it a bit out from the wall
then use smalll magnets to hold the poster on the the foamboard.
wola!
- i've done this, and the foamcore warps over time, especially when it rains or it's humidscarabin

I have another question. How would one go about displaying buttons / badges / pins on a wall? I'm not sure what to search for, so any help would be appreciated. I can't find anything on the internet about this type of thing, but I'm sure it exists.
Basically, I want to display a lot of buttons in one frame. I guess I could do this myself by buying foam/soft material and placing it on top of cardboard or some sort of backing (which could even be the foam itself) and then placing the button in it, but I want to find something easier. For example, a plastic cover with a space for each button (convex), which also has a backing that you put on after you place the buttons inside of it. Or the backing could hold the buttons (concave) and then you'd put a cover on top of that.
Am I making any sense?

I like corkboards, but not sure how you'd put buttons on it...
- you just bend out the back pin a bit and stick it in there...works fine, i have some on mine.GreedoLives
- Thanks, I will try this out.Jaline

I just thought of something. I suppose if I wanted a simple and quick way of putting them up, I could just use a magnetic board. Just stick them up there. May come off easily though.

(sorry for posting a gazillion times)
Found more info about it: http://www.flat33.com/flat33_v2/…
I guess they are all just foam boards.

Bumpedy bump.
Any nice ways people are hanging posters these days?

the way i hang movie posters is to have them flush-mounted on sintra board. on the back are 1" wooden spacers so the piece floats off of the wall. (one on the top to hang it and one on the bottom)
gator board would be a lighter alternative. don't use foamcore as it will warp over time.
