ps vs xbox

First, I know this question has been posted, but not with my specific details (read below): The question is xbox or ps2???
I had a ps2, it got jacked, havent had one in two years. I really like how the xbox is developing, especially with halo 2 & online prowess. Ps2 offers some great online games, and better overall selection. My dilemma is that my old rickety house in New Orleans doesnt even have phone or cable jacks. So, no online for me.
So, which is better. I will buying one tomorrow.

I have both. I almost never touch my PS2 anymore. I'm impressed with the Xbox and the ease of hacking it to suit my needs.
The graphics seem slightly better and the load times slightly shorter also. I also love the controller for the Xbox.

do you want good games, or an ugly p.o.s. console with like one unoriginal hit game (halo) and unuseable controllers?

I miss my ps2, my roomate has an xbox, so everynow and then I play some games. graphics seems slighly worst than the ps2, and the controllers are uncomfortable, and oh god, lets not even go to san andreas, Im not going to be able to play that game!! this sucks!!

modded xbox all the way. never pay for another game. so, exactly how the hell do you live somewhere without phone or cable jacks? are your walls corrugated?
