vws, he attempted to make a play for his team. That's a split second thing. He wanted to purposely jar the ball loose. I would have done the same. It doesn't mean it's legal. You never know how they will call it though. Smart thinking is what I think.

he really should have over-exaggerated the running motion, pumping his arms back and forth... probably still could have knocked the ball out... and would have been called safe.. but as it was... he swung at the glove in his full gayness ...

so true. if he started running wildly outa the batters box, full windmill, spastic running, his collision with Arroyo would have been more convincing.

the flip side of the coin is that arroyo should have gone varitek and shoved that glove in arods pie hole and put him in the dirt.
