Lets say I just purchased a PS2 game, and I want to have it backed up. So I copy the content to my computer and then burn it back onto a DVD-R disc. Would that burned disc play in my PS2?

jk bud, good q, i'm curious too

most likely not but it's not because of your choice of media.

i think you need a mod chip maybe? or a moded ps2 harddrive. could be wrong though...

I'm being serious. Nothing illegal.

i believe games are burnt and encoded just like movie DVDs are.
You can try one of those movie copying programs and see if it works.

you need a mod chip for the game console. lots of place you can get them from...

hey, don't be intimidated by the mod chip, it's insanely easy to do. most consoles have a solderless chip that you basically just screw into the motherboard

the program alcohol 120% may be of some help.......

You need a mod chip and a computer geek savvy friend. I have one in my ps2 and I rent games from Blockbuster, copy them, burn them to dvd then play them on my ps2 with the chip. It's real nice. Only cost me $50.

yeah, know someone who did that stuff for the OLD PS... but this is the first I've heard about PS2.
- k0na_an0k0
yup. works like a dream. so far it has played everything i've dropped in.
