I would agree with Rasko, still not fond of it, but again, not sure what people expect to see anymore, especially in a competition such as this. What would an "original" design be?

the fact is that 90% of people are unoriginal as designers and a higher % of people are unoriginal in what they wear, this is a commercial venture aimed at generating high sales. If the design was truly original then it is unlikely that many people would buy it.
the threadless people have chosen based on saleability and while this is obviously the best method concerning their profits its just a shame that as a supposedly 'designer led' outfit that they didn't choose more progressively, but then, most submissions were shit anyhow so..

threadless probably told him to make the logo bigger - like ten times bigger - then gave him the cash.

i wasn't even aware you could enter this type of stuff into the threadless comp.
i personally wouldn't buy it but congrats to the kid that won. who gives a shit what any of us choose to say about it here, he still has the $2500 in hand and we got nothin' : )

I think the logo and use of threadless name kind of gave it a biased opportunity towards those who chose the winner.
I'm not at all knocking threadless, I love most of the shirts and I think I have 6 of them.But it seems a bit too easy for threadless to vote for something that essentially serves as a "brand" shirt for their name.
I personally think coat of arms and crests are tired.
However, if the threadles name were actually stitched fabric, that would be very cool.

and it does look like a Diesel tee of 3yrs ago...
and just because you pull the 'irony' card, doesn't deter from the fact that the whole design is a bunch of trends put together.. if its a joke - i dont get it.
