"requiring supporters to sign an oath of loyalty before receiving tickets to Saturday's New Mexico rally featuring Vice President Cheney."
OMG! Democracy in full effect!!

I have heard that that not only happened in New Mexico, but all of their campaign stops.

that's more than lame.
An insult to democracy.

maybe you should elaborate a bit on why you are going to vote for bush Don.
I also don't think that attacking people for their political views is stupid and childish in general. You simply can't tolerant everything.

hahahhahhaaa Commies For Kerry, lol

no matter which side you are on, do you think it appropriate to boo either set of kids?
- ********0
no -sputnick- it isn't and all the fools that get together and violently protest politics and then boo and smash stuff up and destory public property are was off. Much like what happened recently in NYC. Nice right?

My question is:
how are we suppose to set up elections in another country when ours are so fucked up?
It's like voting for the best of two evils..... and neither of them mean what they say anyhow. They're both just giving us a reach around (you know... while we get fucked in the ass).
- F_180
so votge for the less evil one. its a start.

I think MTV has always done a good job about encouraging the youth of America to vote. I applaud that. I wonder if folks just didn't like the idea of possible politicizing of an awards show. I mean, I heard boos for Michael Moore during the Oscars when he pulled out his little verbal masterbation...why not?
Who cares? I don't.

Apparently a phone conversation between two relatives revealed my aunt doesn't even know who George Bush is running against, so she'll just vote Republican.
Makes my stomach hurt.

That's why I'm note voting for either of them. Nader or whomever in the future. Tired of these BS'ers. At least the Independents aren't in bed with corporations. Kerry literally is in bed with them.

agreed JazX. i think people have lost that boundary, which is sad.
and although where i see where the point of setting up other elections whilst ours is messy as a valid one, the difference is that we can debate these issues and voice our opinions. without getting killed.

actually, it stuff like that which makes me not like activists or protestors....and I don't care if you are a democrat, republican or moderate. I saw a piece on 20/20 about activits and protesters. Drove me up the wall.
Free speech, yes. Fredom to publicly gather, yes. But these folks were going to speaking events in order to be so loud that they would distract from the speaker, therefore, taking away his/her right to free speech in a roundabout way.
I say protesting in a non-verbal form speaks much louder.

nader is completely unqualified to be president. but vote for him anyway, how does that make any sense whatsoever?
- gabriel_pc0
so was it only the kerry sisters that were booed?
