ha! if ONLY I had that kind of money to throw down! whoever linked edmunds.com is a diamond - that site is awesome...I'm having strong feelings for the honda element tbqh...and the ford escape hybrid, when it comes out, looks bloody wicked....

ok as fast than some ferrari's
the top speed is electronically limited to 122mph, but take that off and it goes as fast as 155-160mph.
The UK motorway police use the unrestrited ones :)

i'd be kinda scared to go that fast in something that large. one tight turn and boom.
imagine schumacher racing a landrover.....odd.
one of the best days of my life was created by a Ferrari 360 Modena. good lord they are fast and handle like a go cart. get out the check book jevad. haha.

I have to say that if you are going for a car for the mountains and want something reliable and powerful with 4WD then...

throwing one of those around in the sun would be fun...
god im bored

slag,
the saab 9-3 convertible? a land rover? these people are designers for god sakes!
i don't know bout you, but i'm gettin me the Infiniti G35 Coupe...
http://www.infiniti.com/content/…
280 horsepower and Car and Driver 10 best for 2 years.

haha, slag you just posted one of the biggest automotive wars- Lancer vs. Impreza.
can't go wrong with a subie, but you can with a mitsu, i say this because i own this:

my buddy killed a new evo during an autocross, really wasn't going all out either, very strange how the engine gave the way it did.
- auricom0
abstakt, that infinity you want is no cheapy either. what....32K or something? the top end Subaru WRX STI is cheaper then that. the G35 is a good looking car though, especially the gallery pic you linked.
if you like the stylin of Saab, yet the AWD and power of a Subaru, there's always this new guy:
although i hate GM for frankenstiening this thing, but oh well.
- abstrakt0
yeah, the g35 coupe is about 32k for MSRP, but with the options and everythign it'll be like 36k. this new company is buying it for me though, so no need to worry about anything like price :) i know, i'm spoiled. but i kinda like it.

need an SUV for the dawg, snowboard stuff, and because we'll be doing a fair amount of off-concrete driving...
- slag_you_off0
I dunno whether you have them in the states but I love these things they produce in Australia
seriously quick as well
- slag_you_off0
one of those then

Sorry I'm just not digging the sedan/truck hybrid they got going on. I could picture some essays driving that thing through LA though.
- auricom0
like the baja/brat.
jevad, sounds like you need the new Subaru Legacy.
take your pick:

or just the wagon version of the Impreza. an audi quattro would be cool but bit steep in price.
save money in gas by going with a utility wagon.
yeah i'm a subie nut.

just buy a old american classic and do it up

Don't buy a SAAB 9-3, it's just a Vectra, and Range Rovers have rotten build quality. The switch gear's all wobbly. As it sounds like you actually need a practical car, then buy a Subaru, they win all those reliability test things.
It's interesting to read what cars you all like. They're all so new! I like older cars, and if in America and old stove like a challenger GT or a Plymouth Road runner (the normal one) or a 'Cuda would be the machines of choice.
I've got 2.8i Capri, but am thinking of a BMW mk1 325i or a V12 XJS or a Porsche 944. Oh, and buy a rear wheel drive not front. But not you Jevad. Dangerous on slippy mountain roads.

abstrakt - you'll enjoy your G35. I purchased a 350Z in February and it is a monster....of course, basically same car. :) have fun!
ps- keep the traction control 'on' in the rain :)

just got a scion xa for it's ok price tag and good milage. The milage was the most important thing, since I travel alot, but the car allowens my company gave me was not enough for a hybrid car ect...so the price too was important....this time around I did not care about the looks, event though it looks ok.
