Uh, I just found out my boss along with many others got canned. I hold a very unofficial job doing store signs and other stuff.
I have no idea if I still have a job right now....

Well I'm really hoping that since my job seemed to be so seperate from everyone elses (in that I mostly did bitch work) I can continue doing bitch work for whomever they replace my boss with. Which will suck because my boss is totally cool and she doesn't deserve this at all.
If they do can me as well, I'm going to make sure that our print shop doesn't do any work for them EVER!

if they can you.. you server passwords and stuff will be off limits and that work will be gone forever.
before i left my job i stayed all night and came in early and burned all day before i said i was out. i was prepared for them to cut me off as soon as i told my boss. but i aint no idiot.
did the same for the job before that when i was afraid i was gunna get laid off. but they were cool tho if i left anything they would have let me come back for weeks to get things i wanted. hehe i wasnt even sure if i was going to loose my job... but when i did i made it out with only one small box.

Well kids, it's official... my position has been eliminated.
Now I'm faced with either taking a severance package or working on the retail floor.
Any suggestions on which to take? I need to make sure I stay motivated and I feel like if I work on the retail floor it'll make me want to get out of there.
But if I take the severance package, I'll get paid and be able to go home and focus on my art. But will I stay motivated? That's the question!

That sucks man. I think I would take the severance package. You don't want to get stuck in that retail spot.
Start new take the package,....and do some crazy shit as you leave.

take the severance , delete all the files you can and shove it up their ass. you can find a new gig in a few weeks that's better anyways.

yeah our entire region is going to freak out now that I won't be there to do store signage. They're literally going to flip out and complain. Then their stores will look like crap and everyone will just have to shrug, grin and bear it. Just like I am now!
