yeah i was just thinking about that, havent converted many. fuck it, im fine with six hours.
plus im getting errors on every ten tracks or so, it wont convert some. im sticking with mp3. from now on though im ripping with aac.

For all your news music, convert to either lossless AAC or 160 kbps AAC or higher.

And also, the iPod tests were done using low power apple earbuds with 128 bit AAC files (same ones from apple store, no better than 192 bit mp3) and with the player playing straight through. Every time the light comes on or you scroll the wheel, it uses a little more juice.

yeah, i figured. all my mp3's are 192 Kbps or greater. so that's what im setting my m4a's at now.
a lesson learned though!
