Almost any DJ Spinna track. Many times it's taken me several listens before I've picked up on what the sample was in some tracks.
aliendn - you're in Toronto right? Man, you have to come by Cobalt on college st, last wednesday of each month. We share too much of the same taste in music. I play hip hop, breaks, rare groove and soul up in there.
- GreedoLives0
i'd go with albums:
three feet high and rising
fear of a black planet
pauls boutique

mike g, for real? that sounds dope, i wouldnt mind checking that out at all!
back on topic, i havent heard one tune that rjd2 has sampled from, but his compositional skills of tunes from different sources and making them sound like they are one song and not sampled is phenomenal.
and word up on the 3ft rising
- rasko40
yeah I kinda agree with you there Greedo, although I am thinking perhaps nation of millions over fear of, and Paid in Full should really be mentioned.

Yeah man you should come by, the night's called AOR, Agency of Record, I've posted it up here a few times, the next one is next wednesday. The night is about bringing some Toronto creatives together for an evening of good music and having a royal piss-up. Last month was off the hizzy, people were there 'till like 3am.
With the focus of the night being geared towards designers and such, I never thought I'd be able to play as much hip hop as I have been. Actually had a few headz out last month that were up at the both every 10 minutes asking what the track was I just played. So this month, I'll be playing like 80% hip hop.

groove armada have done nice things...
and the quasimotto and madvillain album (it won me after sampling zappa)

how come no one has mentioned paul's boutique? probably the most intricately layered sample mayhem ever.
as for most clever, i pick scratch bastard's battle juggle of the star wars imperial march (and he didn't even win with it) at the 2002 scribble jam.
- GreedoLives0
agreed rasko...
oh and also:
danger mouse - grey album!!!!haha just kidding
- rasko40
but Greedo did mention it, and I seconded it.
