after Panther was released.. it was time to go back to Apple...I have a 17 in powerbook now and it was the best decision ive made.
its a great machine.. pared with Panther... it is love

Also this 17 is acctually very portable for its size... it fits in my back pack perfectly and due to how thin it is..and its weight.. it acctually is the same if not Easier to tote around than my Dell Inspiron.
Acctually now that i think about it.. its much easier to tote around.
love it

since i lost my job, and have been working for myself I have been contracting inside agencies and the like... and doing work from home, I use my 15" pb like 12hrs a day, and it is making me alot of money ;)

damn you powerhookers to hell!
i wish i could afford the 15" or 17".. i would use the machine just for design and stuff.. keping it clean and not flooding it with stupid programs :P

Mine enabled me to work right through Christmas one year, hardly had to speak to my family at all!
Thank you stupid clients, and thank you Apple.

My 15" alu PB has a dent in it and mis-aligned hinges (which is a common problem... but apple will fix when I get some spare time to send it back).
It still rocks my socks and goes everywhere with me. I love it.

had my 15 tibook for two years now, the thing is beat to hell from carrying it to and from work everyday and the only thing that has crapped out on me is the battery.
other than that it's paid for itself time and time again.

the only issue i have is the 80GB drive is small. Anyone know how hard it'll be to replace the thing when bigger dirves come out?
I have an external 250GB but i want everything with me at all times! more more more
- Donvitoviti0
if you need more than 80 gigs of stuff with you at all times... you need to rearange your life.
- tymeframe0
yeah re-arrange there to be a bigger HD in my powerbook! haha
30 gigs MP3s, 20gigs system/application crap, then both my girlfriend and I have all our art crap on there. probably another 15 gigs.
Outside of that i do video work and can still barely fit one project on teh drive at once.
- Donvitoviti0
you need to get an ipod...
then you can store your music on your 250 and take your music with you via ipod
- Donvitoviti0
and if you put your iPod in Manual Mode.. you can play the songs through your computer from your ipod

I got one of the original 400Mhz models way back. It still does me OK for general freelance and messing about at home.
The 10Gb hard-drive is weeny though, if it wasn't for my external I'd be stuffed.
Can't make up my mind whether to upgrade to a new PB or get G5 tower. tricky.
