well yeah, I'm just giving a viewpoint, I for one don't support NGO's and Non-Prof's whatsoever, 95% of them are total BS, 90% adminstrative intake on the do-re-me $$$$$$$$

again, if a cardiologist told you, "dude, if you don't stop eating so much red meat and get some exercise you're not going to make it through the year", it would probably be in your interest to listen.

you're right, fatalism is always the best way to cope with serious issues that would otherwise demand behavour modification.

post-industrial nations have only shifted some traditional environmental problems i.e. urban air quality. You just have to look at issues such as emerging economies to realise that problems associated with energy consumption and resource-use will increase exponentially.

what I'm saying is we all help in raping the planet, then we bitch and moan that our governments do nothing about it, when they are just supplying demand.
If we stopped demanding, they will stop supplying. Sell your car, cycle to work, recycle, use solar panels, etc etc.
