you should have come to Pittsburgh in the early 80's and 70's when you couldn't see the sky because of air pollution from steel mills.

the industrial revolution did more damage to the earth than anything we are doing now.

So generally, or from what I can gather here, the consensus seems to be either:
a) we're doing ok
or
b) yeah, we're gonna get spanked.
- zedvox0

I'm retiring to South West Africa as soon as I have the dinero. Much cleaner all around. It's funny, I once lived in the bigtime bush and had cleaner water than I do now in mainstream US of A.
But jevad, I totally know what you mean. I haven't even thought about having kids. Waiting until I can give them a good upbringing in another society.
- Gorbie0
fortunately for north america, the industrial revolution was outsourced to china, and other asian countries.
- Mimio0
That is utter crap. Pollution is far more widespread and insidious now. Wait till India and China spike in production we'll be selling bottled air.
- Soler0
pretty soon we'll survive on manufactured air and pills
- Gorbie0
