wowsers...thanks for all the input. however, im still just stradling the fence. yeah and it bites! its a 6 days a week job, 9-10hr/day. But in the end, you can afford to buy things you would normally not buy...you can take care of family...pay off debts...invest into other things (property...etc), and in the end, you won't have to stress out and be a slave to your work. Thats what farming might get you I think.
As a graphic designer...its hard to imagine ever making $65+ anytime soon...and you'll always be working for somebody else (unless you got the balls to go on your own), you'd probably be spending most of your life paying for your home (if you get a nice one), but then again, you probably hardly ever complain about work, because you actually enjoy it! (for the most of us I assume!)
Both are huge sacrifices...both will have regrets as well. White collar job or blue collar job....love or money...man I cannot stop thinking about this decision and time is a tickin. Looking fwd to more ideas any of you guys have. Thanks for your input.

just sucks to be unlucky and die the day you retire.
my advice is just do what you love and you'll find a way to manage. never treat your job as a means to an end, but an end in itself.

Do you like "farming"?
If you think it'll be fun, then go for it. But if not, then don't.
Once you go "farming" you prolly won't go back to design simply because you won't have time. Does it scare you?

Farming is hard work. You gotta get up early and feed animals and shit, and goats are a real pain in the ass. Plus kids will ride 4wheelers through your crops and then you have to shoot at them, and you have to hope the law is on your side.
I dunno, design is easier.

No one should "love" a job so much that it can be used as an example like this, as a difference between wealth or not...
OK, that made no sense. I thought this was going to be a thread asking about "If you were offered a job making much more money (which isn't wealth), wealth is millions and millions of dollars) and if you took it you would have to leave someone you love, GF/BF, would you do it?
