It's super chilled here. Everyone 'pops out' (oo-errr) whenever they need a break. The design team go abroad together every few months. We're taking the day off to go to Alton Towers next week. Ace. Everyone's 26 or younger except the marketing d00d. The only things that annoy me are the 5 hours of footy talk a day, the lack of hot men and the rubbish wage.

Good:
Free coffee, free blank cd's, industrial size desk, view of Long's Peak from my window, Can listen to music/ headphones.Bad:
Mac is 450MHZ trying to run OSX, everyone in the dept. know nothing and create stress for me, upper management kills anything creative, morale in entire building is low from corporate assholes running the show, pay is marginal, most people are not very cool.

relaxed, yet buttoned up

b_magallanes, do me a favor and tear up that yankees poster or at least creatively defile it.

two weeks into my perma-job. smart, creative people. very casual. I can come and go as I like. Total creative freedom.

TV Work is kinda weeks of utter bordom followed by periods of complete insanity (also known as ratings periods).
But they treat the designers well and we have really nice computers, good pay, free coffee, and comfy chairs.

fast-paced with occasional lulls, incredibly laid back with dogs running around and spontaneous trips to coffee shops. been getting lots of praise and CD gives me the right amount of guidance and space to do what i want.
that will all cease as we are getting progressively corporate, so we'll see how that goes.

unglued, yet grounded
