i wiped my hd and did a clean install, plugged in my lacie w/my mp3s and now itunes wants me to authorize them on this "new" computer.
the reason i wiped it is i'm buying a powerbook and selling my g4. now i only have 1 computer left to authorize my purchased music on.
is there anyway to reset this? i didn't really put the music on another computer, it's the same one. help a brother out.

2600 is a hacker mag...ive also heard of this problem before and there is nothing you can really do other than try to bypass the protection with some think like fairplay.

yo, fist off you can have up to 5 computers authorized now.. so you might not be as bad off as you thought
second, if you write iTunes help and explain the situation they'll help you out. They will most likely deauthorize all computers that you're on, so you'll just have to reauthorize them. no big deal.
