Why don't you get a minivan and shutup?

my dad just got the infinity g35. its got some muscle under the engine, 260 horsepower, handles really well. my pick's the infinity.
I hear hondas are really reliable but my '89 240 DL Volvo has 215k miles is still running strong and cheap to fix. I'm not sure who owns Volvo now.

Yeah, I dunno about european cars being more durable for the long haul than japanese cars. We're not talking about pre-Chrysler Mercedes-Benz here, in which case I'd agree 100%. We're talking about Audi, which had a terrible track record in the past.
Truthfully, Audi has grown much better with their reliability but the going common opinion stateside tends to be that japanese cars, particularly Toyotas and Hondas, last far longer. Nissans (Infiniti) are not far behind.
My roommate just went shopping for a used car this past weekend. She was on the horn with her mechanic the whole time and he wouldn't allow her to buy a mitsubishi. He raved about the Inifiniti, and it's pretty pimpin'...she bought the infiniti, and from what I understand, they're GREAT.
Good luck. When in doubt, buy a Honda Accord. Practical, inexpensive, and it'll last you foreva, eva-eva, eva-eva.

"with second hand cars its all about the resale value. European (german) cars have a higher resale value than Japanese/Korean cars. They last longer, in general."
that is what i thought, until there's been serious tests, in which some smaller Japanese cars (like Honda, Mitsubishi etc.) turned out to be way more durable then say, a German car.
i shit you not.

Acura TSX. Probably the best reliability. I personally would go for one othe new 300C's with a hemi.

i would say Audi, but remember that audi service/parts will be more expensive that infinity.
