    Yeah, I dunno about european cars being more durable for the long haul than japanese cars. We're not talking about pre-Chrysler Mercedes-Benz here, in which case I'd agree 100%. We're talking about Audi, which had a terrible track record in the past.

    Truthfully, Audi has grown much better with their reliability but the going common opinion stateside tends to be that japanese cars, particularly Toyotas and Hondas, last far longer. Nissans (Infiniti) are not far behind.

    My roommate just went shopping for a used car this past weekend. She was on the horn with her mechanic the whole time and he wouldn't allow her to buy a mitsubishi. He raved about the Inifiniti, and it's pretty pimpin'...she bought the infiniti, and from what I understand, they're GREAT.

    Good luck. When in doubt, buy a Honda Accord. Practical, inexpensive, and it'll last you foreva, eva-eva, eva-eva.
