WANK is right, saw it tonight and it's shit on many levels.
Cinematography wasn't that special either, a few nice shots but nothing to make the waste of two hours of my time worthwhile.
This kinda sums up what I thought of it... http://film.guardian.co.uk/News_…
Haven't seen so many miserable and disappointed people leaving a cinema for years (at the end of the film).

Anyone seen this :-
"The Buried Secret of M Night Shyamalan"

chall5, the typeface is called trajan, and a large majority of theatrical one sheets, web sites, etc. use it...
take notice to the movie posters you see in the theaters and the type they use from now on... i guarantee you'll be suprised by how often they just drop the trajan right in there

Perhaps a coupla spoilers in ere
--------------------------------I saw it on Saturday night and have to say I wasn't disappointed in the least..
I hadn't read any reviews and had only seen the trailer before seeing the movie.. (usually the best way to see a movie imo)
I thought the way the story unfolded was great.. the pace was just right.. the frights were good and at just the right time to get you really curious..
I think everything was explained pretty well and there were enough clues to work out how everything came about..
The billionaire grandfather (of walker corporation) explains how they were able to hide the village.. I didn't think it was necessary for the main guard (nice cameo appearance by the director btw - you could see his reflection in the fridge) to point out that people had been paid off though.. I think most people would have figured out that when they saw the WALKER signs on the jeep and the guys hat.. again this could have been less obvious..
But overall , I really enjoyed the movie.. I'd definately recommend it to anyone I see from now on..

Some people were probably disappointed by the fact there wasn't any real man eating monsters in the movie.
But N.Shyamalan pulled it off with some silly looking creatures that look like they walked out of the set of the never ending story. Just like he did with the aliens in The Signs.

did some people lose their minds over the weekend?

i don't get it though, after a couple of generations, everyone's gonna be related and everyone will be one family. did the elders just want that life only for themselves and not for any decendants past their great-grandchildren? i don't remember if there were people other than the elders that joined later.

This movie is his worse in my opnion. He needs to make some movies w/o a twist...that way when he decides to make a movie with a twist again ppl won't be trying to figure it out. I saw it coming 20 min. into it. The only thing that took me by suprise was the stabbing.
Now there is the fact that he might have stlole the idea from a children's book...

he also needs to stop casting himself...he can't act.
grrr...i wanted to be amazed by this movie.
