i don't know, in case you haven't seen it:
terminal:
defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1

i mean, have you seen safari's debug menu?
hello?
aren't we developers / designers here?
- tileeater0
you guys are joking about firefox right?
did you try safari?

Damn I wish all your Mac users would make your minds up so we can all have a standard to design our sites for :)

firefox all the way

whiteSneaks,
safari has a home button. did you ever look at the 'view' menu?
and snapback... an enhancement almost as cool as 'home'.

Firefox all the way. It's HIGHLY customizable, has built in popup blocking and specific javascript rules (fuck you browser resize script!), far superior search engine integration, very stable and reliable, standards friendly.....
It does load slower than Safari, though. And while I'm here, "safari because i feel like the developers actually cared about presentation..." is just silly. Did you even *notice* the brushed metal?

firefox has never given me any problems. tabbed browsing is a wonderful thing. I also like being about to switch from mac to pc and get the same browsing experience.
safari has no home button. i like the minimal design but was the home button ever a nuisance? I do enjoy the full-bleed look of the window.

yep, just downloaded the newest firefox, already several display issues and a window was unresponsive to the apple+w close command. within about 40 seconds of use.

I think you should give it a whirl CyBrainX...

I tried it a couple of months ago and haven't looked back since.. loads in 2 seconds... multiple home pages on load... download manager.. nice bookmark manager.... standards compliance... seems to work well with sites that have a lot of images.. like http://www.photos.com .... when you press back, it does so instantly.. doens't have to go back to database and retrieve images again.. other browsers seem slower at doing this for some reason..

safari..
faaast, reliable, and minimalistic, thus respecting the design of the website you visit.

safari because i feel like the developers actually cared about presentation...
firefox may be fast but, when is the last time you waited fir your browser to do something? i mean, what are we doing with our browsers here? looking at webpages is a pretty simple task for an app to handle.
don't think safari ever made me wait for anything.

Does anyone know why Firefox (Mac) would display the source of a .shtml page when loaded, rather than rendering it?

oh, and safari on the mac, phoenix (haven't updated in a while) on the pc. b/c i primarily just require the tabbed browsing and the firefox installation on my mac got fucked and i haven't bothered to fix it.
