if you have to understand a design, it hasn't been designed well... that being said, I'm pretty satisfied with my 20 gig ipod... A good reason to buy one? hmmm, these days there might not be as many good reasons... there are better solutions out there.

Well.. I heard a review on techtv the other day and they seemed to be saying the Samsung Napster branded player was a better deal.. cos its got an FM transmitter(allowing you to play your tunes through your car stereo for example) built in (can buy this for iPOD also at extra cost))and it supports WMA tracks also.. and it $50 cheaper..
Might be worth checking out also..

1. You know at all times how much music you have on your iPod in Days, hours, and minutes.
2. You use that data to impress your friends in hopes to convert them.
3. You seriously debated buying the limited edition Madonna engraved iPod just to have it.
4. Even though you have one, you still go to the Apple Store and pick up the store model just to touch it.
5. You keep the Propellorheads, "Take California" on your iPod because it reminds you of the first iPod commercial.
Note: The rest of the album is really good too.
6. You consider the iPod to be the most beautiful thing you own.
7. You have read all of these statements because you truly want to be in iPod Nation.not my words tho.

because it costs a shitload of money more than the asian ripoff that does exaclty the same thing for 1/10000 of the price, and that will be worthless when the new megatrillion SMS/Wi-fi, 1.5 terabytes tomagochi appears.
have fun!

mmm.. well they can be cool. But not so much when you buy a pair of adidas runners for US$10 then discover they have a NB logo on the tongue.. Hmm..
Should've looked at little more carefully at that purchase methinks.. ( I was too much taklen in by the cheapness.. )

NB is a good brand actually. ~: )
good for running... pretty much nothing else tho.
btw there is a new adidas show that has electronic components that adjust the anti-shock value dynamically in real-time... got news on that?

1. It fits in you pocket, not like a cd walkman
2. It holds thousands of songs. Everyone loves thousands of songs, not hundreds.
3. It holds files, which I'm betting you will make use of.
4. The headphones are good.
5. There a a lot of good third party accessories
6. You can actually boot up off it.
7. You can take it to a friend's and grab songs
8. iTunes is a great piece of software
9. The battery lasts ~8 hours
10. If there are problems, the Genius Bar people are very helpful.
None of these reasons have any thing to do with bullshit status

Because the iPod, by far, offers the simplest, most elegant user experience available for any mp3 player anywhere.
You open iTunes, plug in your iPod and drag songs to it.
Or if you have enough room - it synchs it automatically. It's durable, small, light, beautifully designed and has the best user interface.
I still have my original 10GB.
It works great.
The battery charge is slightly lower - but I still get a good 8 hours out of it.
I've used it pretty much used it 8 hours a day almost every day since I bought it 3 years agoIt is The Best MP3 Player.
Period.

Will it sync with iTines?
Go buy an iPod, buy the time you've deliberated it will be last weeks technology. So do you cry into your beer? No! you buy the next amazing gizmo to come on to the market.
