I huggeth no tree:
"SUVs have become the fastest-growing market segment in the automobile industry. They have an image of being safer and easier to handle in bad weather than traditional passenger cars. But ... they protect occupants poorly, inflict horrific damage in crashes, guzzle gasoline, spew emissions, and are, in fact, difficult at best, to control in bad weather or panic situations."

Isn't it ironic that "clean" hydrogen for tomorrows cars will come from refineries burning fossile fuels for a long time after it becomes commonplace. Oh well, I'm just stoked our Governator promised to have Hydrogen stations all over Cali in the next few years.

I never understand the use for a SUV.. They really do not hold that much crap.. if you need to carry stuff buy a truck.. or in my case a station wagon.. station wagons kick ass.. like the audi Allroad we own.. twin turbo and lots of room.. + it is 4 wheel drive and if the roads get funky i can just press the button to raise her up.. also own a Volvo 240.. that car can hold a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood inside.. show my you average suv that can do that..

my Landrover aint got shit for space in the back...plenty of space if you pile up but its not very deep.
i've got a few logging roads up here I know you wouldn't dare take that audi on...but non the less those are fuckin sweet cars for sure...that and the V240...good taste in cars my man.
