all everyone needs are station wagons, maybe with all-wheel drive such as audi avants. they come in many forms and sizes. buy an audi. i am not affiliated with audi.

I wasn't knocking the Ford Hybrid, I think it's a good idea if it's affordable. Otherwise people won't buy it and it won't make ANY ecological difference.

I bet the interior space of the escape is =< that of a honda si (civic hatchback). but if you live up a hill ... why not a suburu station wagon? interior space > the escape by far + allwheel drive AND ground clearance. speaking of SUVs 9as if) the BMW X5 (piece of shit that'll get stuck on a pile of wet leaves) has less spce inside that the 5 series station wagon. and the new X# has gotten terrible reviews, BMW itself is embarrassed by it.

Peteski, Ford is also coming out with Hybrid sedans and a car called a Freestyle with a VRT transmission and the same v6 in the Escape Hybrid. So it's basically just a matter of aesthetics at this point.

the battery packs need to be replaced, and the disposal of such packs has not yet been addressed. my dad runs an electronics recycling facility in florida, and the gov't hasn't prepared for this issue at ALL. they aren't even discussing it, and these packs are significant pollutants.
just wish ppl would stop demonizing SUVs.
