don't laugh at me... but there something I always wanted to know
there a quite a few ads in Europe featuring breasts (female) and bottoms (male/female)....
are there as many naked people in US ads?

new thread title:
UK vs USA vs Rest of Europe.
happy now?
If NTers were even a little bit interested in having a design-related discussion it would've turned out the way I meant it do - instead of a bunch of you arsey tools jumping down my throat.
- Mimio0
Sure, under their clothes.
- jevad0
no there isn't gaberz - the europeans are far more tolerant of THAT APPROACH TO DESIGN
- BonSeff0
mexicans and canadians don't count
- ********0
Thats not an approach to design. That's just nudity....

I was just curious.... of course it hasn't anything to do with design.
while speaking of ads. just saw this evil ad on tv.

I couldn't get through all of the
b!tchy posts so not sure if someone actually touched on this...a few years ago I thought the difference between UK and US was that US was more commercially driven and UK tended to utilize newer, more experimental technology in their commercial projects.Do you think it's still so or has it evened out? It seems to me that the US is even more cautious now than ever.

every country has nice work, every country has shite work.

American design tends to be more forward thinking aesthetically speaking, whereas European and UK design tend to draw more from the heritage of the region.
no offense intended to either camp, but America is essentially a continent founded by the top 1% of forward thinking and entrepreneurial of the 'old world' population.
on another point, I love reading these threads from the bottom up: kind've like watching Memento.

UK/Europe= contemporary
US= 90's
...don't bitch or whinge about my answer, it's only my opinion.
