Question: Are the Pixies a "white thing?"
Out of curiosity I decided to go listen to some of their tracks and I wasn't that impressed.
Please note: I’m not racist, just puzzled.

Carlos - the Pixies are for everyone... but you may be interested to know that Frank Black has a tendency to write alot of lyrics in spanish.
The thing about the Pixies is that they are the ones who aided in paving the way for bands like Nirvana etc... going from Mellow to Hard and back to Mellow again... w/that 'alternative' sound...
... i'm probably not doing any justice in explaining how important... and how fantastic those four people are.
Tara!! I caught a little Kraftwork - one of the guy's I was with was dead center - up front...
... he was emotional over it all weekend. What I heard was good -- but don't forget that Radiohead was on at the same time. I'd never seen Radiohead - so I stuck it out for them (but am kind of regretting it).

Jesus returned as The Pixies.
Believe or be Damned.

hahahahahahahaha
... and praise be unto the Pixies... er... Jesus.

true. i've seen radiohead before and they were amazing. i saw a lot of radiohead on saturday but i had never seen kraftwerk so i made it over for them. they do stand there but they are wearing neon costumes and have crazy lights. they also had huge visuals that were really great, bright and graphic. it's a complete performance, not the usual boring laptop shit.

tara... I saw from a distance that they were all wearing some pretty cool ties that lit up...
were they actually on keyboards?

How did you get a gold artist wristband? Just gotta know someone I guess? Who saw Cursive and Bright Eyes? Bright Eyes was muthafuckin INTENSE. And The String Quartet rocked me hard. But the Pixies indeed stole the weekend.

I'm getting all vaklempt, reading all the testimony about the Pixies. David Bowie correctly called them the best band of the 80s.
I saw them with The Cure and Love and Rockets in 1989 in Giants Stadium. I will have to catch them this summer in NYC.
The Pixies are bigger than Jesus.

I had a chance to see the Pixies open for U2 on their Joshua Tree tour...
... alas, I was 12 and wanted to goto my friend's house for the weekend instead of going to a rock and roll show with my mom.
I was young - forgive me.
